This book explores difficult themes such as complex mother-daughter relationships, death, loss, miscarriage, and depression.
This book explores really gory themes such as rape, cannibalism, war, military coups, and death, so please proceed with caution.
It also highlights that love is a choice and way beyond feelings because feelings can be fickle. It reminds us that sometimes, sustaining our friendships can be pretty tricky.
I’m not sure this review can do justice to how I feel about this book but I really want more people to add it to their tbr list and read it.
If you know someone with an abusive partner, please don’t constantly judge them by asking why they can’t just leave because it’s not as easy as it seems, and Stockholm’s syndrome is really a thing
