Reaper's Gale

In Reaper’s Gale, all of the conflict that’s been threatening to spill over in Midnight Tides and Bonehunters comes to the fore. Simply put, there’s a lot of death. Of major, middling and minor characters.

It’s more than heartbreaking, but rather satisfying in many ways too. The conflict, multilayered as it is takes even more thrilling turns. The unpredictability remains as well. So many unexpected twists…

The character development from the Bonehunters continues. The author makes a considerable effort in touching every single soldier of the squads, at least the major ones.

The scenes featuring the Bonehunters are rather comic, as well as revealing a great deal about their origins. There are a number of connections to be made, between different characters, historical events, peoples, and gods, the deciphering of which proves a puzzling delight for readers.

The world-building remains as solid as ever.
