A most thrilling plot draws another step closer to an even more thrilling climax.

Once again, one must express awe and dole out congratulations and compliments to the ability of the author to juggle so many complex plot lines simultaneously, to link all the ends in this extremely careful, painstaking manner.

It’s all very deliberate. Nothing seems really drawn out, even if the buildup is admittedly slow-paced.

We see some old characters come back. We see painful deaths (as usual), completely unexpected outcomes. There’s a convergence of powers. Really magic-heavy stuff. The ethereal threads of power are almost literally rolling off the pages of the book.

I cannot really say much without giving away major spoilers. It’s one of the very elitist samples the genre has to offer.
